2017 Asia Pacific Meeting of ISMPP


Program Details:

The Asia Pacific Program Committee is building a program for the 2019 Asia Pacific Meeting of ISMPP, Bridging Global Standards and Regional Practices, that addresses important issues for the region.

* Non-ISMPP members: There is a $95 additional administrative fee for those who reside in the Asia Pacific region, which includes a complimentary year of membership to ISMPP if you opt-in. (For those who reside outside of the Asia Pacific region, the administrative fee is $195).

The Advocacy & Outreach Committee, in collaboration with the Asia Pacific Program Committee, hosted an informational webinar on 16 July 2019, that spotlighted the 2019 Asia Pacific Meeting of ISMPP.

Travel Information:

From Narita International Airport: 

The easiest way to arrive is to catch the Airport Limousine Bus which stops directly at the hotel. Or, you can catch the Narita Express train, which takes around 75 minutes. Then from Shinjuku station, you can take Hilton Tokyo's shuttle bus which departs hourly from the West Exit of Shinjuku station (in front of Keio Department Store, bus stop No. 21). The shuttle bus runs daily from 8:20am to 9:40pm. 

For getting around the city, the hotel is conveniently located between two subway stations, Nishi-shinjuku Station (Tokyo Metro Marunouchi Line) and Tocho-mae Station (Toei Oedo Line), which are within a 3- to 5-minute walk.


Cancellation Policy:

4 or more weeks prior to event:

You will receive a full refund, minus 10% of the balance for processing fees, or you may substitute another ISMPP member to attend in your place. You may also request a voucher for the full registration fee to be used towards a future ISMPP event within the following twelve-month period.

2 to 4 weeks prior to the event: 

You will receive a refund of 30% of the registration fees or you may substitute another ISMPP member to attend in your place. You may also request a voucher for the full registration fee to be used towards a future ISMPP event within the following twelve-month period.

Less than 2 weeks prior to the event: 

You may substitute another ISMPP member to attend in your place.


Letter of Invitation:

ISMPP is not authorized to assist with the visa process beyond providing a Letter of Invitation, which may be requested at [email protected] after attendee has registered and paid in full for the 2019 Asia Pacific Meeting of ISMPP.  A verifiable email address from an institution/company (.edu, .org, .com) is required. We are unable to accept a personal address (gmail, yahoo, hotmail, etc.).

ISMPP cannot provide Letters of Guarantee. Please note that a Letter of Guarantee is different from a Letter of Invitation. Depending on your professional situation, background and nationality, you may be required to submit a Letter of Invitation and/or Letter of Guarantee. 

A Letter of Guarantee is a letter in which an individual or body agrees to be legally and financially responsible for you during your stay in Japan. You may know an individual or institution in Japan willing to act as a guarantor.

Further Visa Assistance

All questions/concerns regarding the status of your visa should be directed to the Japanese immigration authorities or Japanese Embassy in your home country.

If your visa application is denied, please note that ISMPP will not be able to change the decision of the Japanese immigration authorities, nor will ISMPP engage in discussion or correspondence with the Japanese immigration authorities or the Japanese Embassy on behalf of the applicant.
