Discover LearningBuilder: ISMPP's New Certification Management Platform!
CMPP Recertification Application:
- For ISMPP members: Log in to LearningBuilder using the ISMPP member link. This will synchronize your ISMPP member profile with your CMPP profile in LearningBuilder and allow you to access your recertification application and track your CE credits.
- For non-members with CMPP designation: Use the non-member link to access your CMPP profile/account and update your CE activity in LearningBuilder.
- For non-members needing to submit certification or recertification applications: Pay the $235 non-member administrative fee*, which includes a complimentary year of membership in ISMPP. This fee covers the cost of setting up your profile in LearningBuilder to access the exam application. Click here to join ISMPP and after joining you may access the CMPP exam application.
*Although you may opt out of your ISMPP membership (by emailing [email protected]), the $235 non-member administrative fee is still required and non-refundable. Renewing your ISMPP membership yearly is recommended, as it provides many opportunities to earn recertification credits, including free monthly ISMPP U webinars and access to member archives, which contain pre-approved ISMPP U recordings and conference sessions.

ATTENTION CMPPS: NEW EXTENDED CERTIFICATION CYCLE!
Beginning in 2022, all new and recertifying CMPP credentials will be valid for 5 years, or on a 5-year certification cycle! The current 3-year certification cycle has been extended to a 5-year cycle for CMPPs with a 2022 expiration date and future certifying or recertifying CMPPS.
The Certification Board is excited to have made this decision to:
- Ensure our cycle duration is appropriate for the nature and maturity of our industry and the rate of change that occurs (NCCA Standards)
- More closely align the cycle duration with other credentials in the healthcare industry
- Simplify the recertification process by requiring fewer exams/recertifications
Recertification Information
For those certifying or recertifying in 2022 or later, their CMPP™ certification will be valid for five years, after which, certificants must apply to recertify.
Recertification can be accomplished in one of two ways:

- For CMPPs planning to recertify via credit, you must have documentation to prove your participation for every activity for which you claim credit
